Flight Trimming

A model aircraft should ideally fly straight and true after being built - however, no matter how carefully built, practically all aircraft, whether full sized or models, and will not fly perfectly. The aircraft will perhaps roll to the right, and climb to sharply. It may yaw to the right or left, or have a nose-down flight direction which is very undesirable for good flight performance. The solution to this problem is known as trimming.

Paper Flight models can be trimmed with great precision for consistent, repeatable flights. The gliders even make use of trim tabs in the manner of their full sized counterparts.
